Andres Industries TigIR Z15 Long Range Thermal Clip-On 

The TigIR-Z15™ is currently the lightest and smallest thermal imaging device with a 55 mm lens. No other device achieves a range (standing person) of 3000 m with such a short overall length of only 112 mm. These compact dimensions were made possible by the development of a specially folded eyepiece. This allows the device to be used with various optics (3-6x magnification) and similar systems without any loss of image quality. The entire housing is milled from a single piece of high-strength aluminum, hard-anodized, and finished with a highly resistant Cerakote coating. This allows the TigIR™ to withstand even hard impacts in harsh environments – while remaining remarkably lightweight at only 527 g.

At Atlas Defense Solutions, we have taken it upon ourselves to personally test this unit as the first vendors in the US to have this product in hand. During our test, this unit has been put against other great thermal clip ons from high end American companies that service our armed forces and law enforcement to give you a true comprehensive comparison to see just how good, or bad, this product faired against the golden standard units we have all come to know and depend on for whatever the mission dictates.

The improvements between the Z15 and the first gen TigIR 6z+ units in clarity, detection distance, detail retention in all conditions, and image fidelity has been apparent thanks to the improved 640 resolution FLIR Boson+ core with a 15 mK sensor this unit is fitted with.
